The Garrison House was built around 1807 - 1815 on the island of Hassel Island. It was a Board of Ordnance Stores building where military weapons, and equipment were kept, until it was transferred back to the VI Government in 1978. However in 2012 the management and care of historical structures on Hassel Island were transferred to the St. Thomas Historical Trust Non-Profit Organization.
